Dinosaur Crazy

It seems as though all kids go through a dinosaur phase, knowing the names of so many of them, despite how tricky their names can be. My own children were no exception.

This paper from Echo Park is perfect for commemorating this stage of kids' lives, and it also makes a great card (or 4!) You can buy embellishment packs, and also buy the papers as a kit.

Firstly, I've used one of the panels from the Dino Friends paper to create a shaker card. I've chosen a mix of sequins to match the colours of the paper, and fussy cut three dinosaurs to put on the outside of the shaker.

Here's a look at some of the details. You can see the height of the card from this angle!

Another panel was used to make this next card which I have sent to my sister, who was a great encouragement in getting me to trust my abilities and apply for the design team. I've used white gel pen to highlight the letters, and completed the card with some pearls and glossy accents on the word 'rocks'. 

Next, a dinosaur card using another of the panels. With a liberal application of white gel pen, some scissor work and glossy accents, I've made a prehistoric scene. The eggs come from a pack of Dino Friends ephemera which has many elements that can be used to decorate pages.

Finally, In my typical girly style, I've used the dinosaur collection to make a flower card! The centres of the flowers were made with these brads from the Dino Friends collection, and the papers were die cut into flowers. There's only so long I can go without reverting back to flowers!
