Selfies with Mum - by DT Sandra Scott

Good morning everyone, Sandra here with a layout from the My Mind's Eye Hooray Collection from the Shop and Crop Store.

I chose my photos to suit the collection and I was lucky enough to have a few of these gorgeous selfies of my granddaughter and her daughter.

The photos were so playful I wanted to add some fun on the background so used one of my favourite stencils from TCW with another product that I love and you can find in the Shop and Crop Store - Colour Blast Paste.

I matted my photos with the patterned paper and fussy cut one of the sheets with all those gorgeous circles which I felt blended with the circles of the stencil.
I layered some strips on the top and bottom of the page to make it feel more grounded.
I'm loving gold at the moment so added some narrow gold washi tape from my stash and finished with the gold alpha.

Here are the close-ups.

Products Used:
My Mind’s Eye Hooray Patterned Paper; #HRY103, #HRY104, #HRY106
American Crafts Cardstock
Kaisercraft Wood Veneer
Film Strip Die
TCW Stencil;  Coptic Impressions #TCW485
Colour Blast Pastes
Dear Lizzy Woodlands Alpha
Paper Flowers

My second layout with the same range was for an adult birthday celebration.

Similar to the first one I layers strips of paper to the bottom of the page including my pink washi tape (loving the bling) and to bling it up a little more I sprinkled glitter on the background under my photo.

I cut the tags with a die and layered them above the photo as well as fussy cutting some circles for under the photo.

I coloured the wooden embellishments with Brilliance Gold Ink.

Dinosaur by Sandra Scott

Hi there fellow crafters, Sandra here today to share a layout created
with a gorgeous range by Echo Park - Dino Friends
available at The Shop and Crop Scrapbooking store.

I started by trialing my stencil with gesso mixed with acrylic paint, then paint by itself.  I preferred the paint without gesso.

I layered some black cardstock at an angle onto a patterned paper before starting my photo matting layers.
The tags are made with scraps of the patterned paper with a couple of the collections brads and some twine and the cluster on the bottom right is made up of stickers from the sticker sheet.  I loved how well these went together to form a nice bright cluster with the title.

If you don't have a stencil like the above you could use the side of an old loyalty or credit card dipped in the paint.

The products used on this layout are:

Echo Park Dino Friends Patterned Paper and Sticker Sheet; #DF102011, #DF102012, #DF102013 and Sticker Sheet #DF102014
American Crafts Cardstock
Echo Park Brads
Acrylic Paint
TCW Stencil; #TCW456S
Twine

Now for the second layout I was able to create with this fabulous range, no mixed media on this one but I love the look for using multiple photos.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to create the title for this layout before backing it with the patterned paper from Echo Park.  The only things used from my stash were the cog and stamp set from Kaisercraft, seen here on the top right of the layout.

I hope I've given you a hint or two today, thanks for stopping by the
Shop and Crop Blogspot today and if you'd like to do some shopping
