That's Life

Good Morning Shop and Croppers,

You know how in my last post I said that I would be back later in the day for another share.....well, life happened, and you know what "It's OK".

We all get busy in our lives and get consumed with the going ons of others: in saying that, over the last 5 years of juggling full time shift work (Nursing), 4 children, a husband and a household I have realised that no matter how hectic life gets its always important to make time for yourself and to do what you love...even if it is for only a small time of that day. Keeping yourself happy means you are better at keeping others happy.

This is where we come in at SHOP AND CROP to help you manage your time and make the most of your day....... A CROPAHOLIC KIT I hear you say....OMG what a fantastic idea !!!!

Cropaholic Kits are our 'deluxe' monthly kit containing approx $79.00 worth of co-ordinating products and instruction sheets for two to three layout designs (or sometimes BTP projects/cards etc.) for just $73.95 per month (for subscribers). A perfect way to get those memories created without having to take precious time away from other things in your life.

Today I am sharing one of the layouts from the NOVEMBER CROPAHOLIC KIT that features products from 49 & Market Sea, Sand and Sun Collection that was designed by MOI.....This months kit includes:

  • 1 49 & Market Sea Sand and Sun Collection 12 x 12 Paper Pad Collection
  • 1 49 & Market Sea , Sand and Sun Embellishment Sheet
  • 1 set of Scrapmatts Chipboard
  • 1 Colourblast Shimmer Spray
  • Specialty Mix Media Texture.
  • exclusive embellishment pack
  • Cardstock
  • 1 Bubble stamp

Check out the individual pages and some of the products I have used that are included in the kit:

And a Close Up of some one of the embellishments:

This is just one of 3 layouts that come in this months pack - all with instructions - and let's face it, sometime's we just don't want to think about what we are creating......agreed???

Have a think about it....I'm sure you will agree

Happy Thursday

Are You Ready for It.........

Good Afternoon Shop and Croppers,

I'm back......and I'm cracking the whip ....

It's already mid November and you are running out of time to enter the Challenge for the month - have you NOT seen the amazing Mood Board? It is impossible to not get inspired by the amazing colours and textures it has to offer

Click HERE to enter your layout into the Facebook Album by 30th November to be in the running for a Store Voucher and don't forget to check out some of the amazing inspiration by our other DT members

I would like to share with you my interpretation of the Mood Board

I love to use old calendars as backgrounds - turning an image that's already a work of art into a completely different work of art is a great feeling - if you have done this at all I would love to see your work in the comments.

Every second I hold you up reading this is a second less you have to get your layout in........but i WILL be back later in the day to show you something else amazing......so GET CRACKING Peeps

'Boys Rule' by Elisa Ablett

Hi Shop and Croppers!

Happy Sunday 😀

My turn up on the Shop and Crop Blog today with a grungy mixed media boy layout.

Featuring loads of products from Shop and Crop including Colour Blast Colour Sprays, Colour Blast Texture Paste, Darkroom Door Arty Circles Collage Stamp and a cool Grungy Template from Kaisercraft, keep scrolling for all the handy links to the shop.

Also I have included in this week's post a handy background tutorial for you to try.

If you are placing an online order don't forget to use the code EA5 to get your discount at the checkout!

Here are some close ups of the finished layout!

Technique and Product Showcase -

To keep with my circular theme on my layout I wanted to show you how I created my grungy backgroun!

Step One - I used Colour Blast Colour Sprays in Carribean and Lagoon to lay down a small oval of colour in the top right hand corner where my photo would fit over and also a small area on the bottom left hand side of my layout where my corresponding cluster will go.

Step 2 - Using the circular template spray colour sprays directly onto the template instead of your page! then quickly turn it over and press firmly onto your layout, you are essentially using your template as a stamp. Mop up the excess spray from your craft mat with your chosen chipboard, i used a couple of grungy pieces from Memory Maze Chipboard.

Step 3 - once that has dried, spray and splatter a small amount of Roadbase colour spray onto the layout around your two areas of colour.

Step 4 - Ink up your darkroom door stamp with Black archival ink - i use versafine ink as it gives a lovely crisp stamping image. Stamp in a cross circular pattern around your colour area as shown in both photos.

Step 5 - once dry - using a small dots stencil add small amounts of Colour Blast Bling Paste to your layout over the top of your stamped image, once dry you are now ready to layer your photo and embellishments!

'Autumn Days' by Elisa Ablett

Hi Crafters,

Elisa here from the design team for  Shop and Crop Scrapbooking with my latest layout, an Autumn inspired creation using the Bo Bunny Autumn Paper collection and Autumn Element Sticker sheet by Photoplay Paper Company.

To start my background I used a combination of Colour Blast colour sprays in Coffee, Mocha and Sunset and a lovely green iRRESTibles spray called Pear Tart.

Once dry I used some lovely foliage stamps and a grungy butterfly stamp from Kaisercraft and a sepia versafine inkpad to create some extra depth.

Then layer your papers underneath your photos - I added an extra photo to the bottom right hand corner of your layout along with a few sticker elements. I just loved the cute little fox.

Here are some close ups of the finer details -
