'Our Boys' by Sarah Rosse

Hello scrappy friends, Sarah here with two pocket pages using this months Kaisercraft kit. What an amazing kit...the papers, sticker sheet and emphemera pack is just delightful. This Kit subscription can be purchased in store by clicking here. This Kaisercraft kit features the Indigo Skies Collection. The two layouts I have created for you today are a continuation of each other - the main focus being to scrap photos of my two boys at around the same ages and doing similar things. The letter thickers are from the We R Memory Keepers High Five collection - available here. Lets take a closer look at some of those embellishments.

The second layout goes over the page with more pics of my boys....let's take a look at these lil cuties. The emphemera pieces really compliment the photos and the wonderful, deep tones of blues within the paper range. The Shop and Crop online store has many options for pocket scrapbooking, with a wide range of manufacturers and other products suitable for this style of scrapping. Click
here to explore the range - available now!

The great thing about pocket scrapbooking, as you will see, you can make this as embellished or as simple as you like. I have simply cut the patterned paper to the size of the 2x2 pockets and left some squares unembellished. Others have emphemera adhered to add a little more interest. For the larger pockets with two photos, I have simply used 3x4 photos and stuck them together. This is a nice way to do a side by side shot, as was the intention in these layouts. With a kit like this, the papers really highlight themselves - from the denim look paper to the beautiful butterflies. We also have a third son - a baby boy, Blake Samuel, that was stillborn at 21 weeks - I like to think the butterflies bring some of his memory to the pages.
Here are some close ups...
Thankyou for joining me for these pocket scrapbooking layouts - I hope you will give this a try. I would love to see what you create! Until next time....

'Awesome' by Sarah Rosse

Hello Shop and Crop fans, Sarah here with another layout using the Simple Stories 'So Rad' collection. This collection is awesome! The papers could be used for any type of layout and it comes with lots of cut-aparts, hence why I have completed a pocket scrapbooking layout for you today.

These photos were from my son's basketball team grand final last year. To maintain the privacy of the other children, I have put a piece of white paper over his team mates photo, however you get the idea, with the team photo being in the middle of the page. The 'So Rad' collection has some sport themed stickers and die cuts, such as basketball, football and soccor. It also has game themed papers, stickers and die cuts that you will see more of in next weeks blog post, so stayed tuned.

With this Project Life sleeve, the 2x2 cut apart squares fitted perfectly and provided a nice base to add some of the die cuts and stickers. I backed a number of the 4x6 photos on to other cut aparts cards that come with the collection and embellished them with stickers.

As you can see, I layered a number of the die cut pieces (the shoe, the Awesome title and arrows)on the outside of the pocket - this creates some interest to the page and allows die cuts that are a little larger or that would span over a number of pockets to be included without having to cut them. I also outlined the die cuts and cards with a black marker on completion.
Here are some close up shots;

I hope you enjoyed this layout and be sure to check out this fantastic Simple Stories paper range in store at www.shopandcrop.com.au
