Love You, Beautiful and a Card or Two!

Hi there!

Tania joining you today to share with you a couple of pages and some cards using the "Rose Quartz June Crop Kit"  this is one of the fabulous kits we had on offer at Shop and Crop Scrapbooking last month. I was so happy when I opened my DT Kit and saw I had this kit as I just loved this collection, so stunning with the added addition of the metallic patterns!!

I decided to scrap a couple of B & W photos of my daughter from a recent trip away, I thought they suited the paper range perfectly........

For the first page I used one of the plain papers as my base and cut a piece of the gorgeous rose patterned paper which I stuck to the right the side of the page! I layered my photo up but adding a couple of slightly bigger patterned papers under it.  I fussy cut roses from another patterned piece and used them and several Die Cuts and flowers from the kit to build a couple of embellishment clusters around my photo and one in the bottom corner.

Some close ups.......

The second page I started with a piece of woodgrain paper as my base and added a panel of the beautiful large rose print paper along the right side! I then stuck the gorgeous flower cut file from the kit to the right side slightly over the rose piece!  I have added a couple of embellishment clusters to finish this page of too.......

A couple of close Ups......

So I had a few bits and pieces left over, so here's a few cards I made, so easy with just the scraps and the Die cut pack.  From my stash I added a couple of flowers and finished them off with a little bling! Who doesn't love a bit of bling???

Well that's my shares for today.  Thank you so much for stopping by the blog.
Be sure to pop on over to the Shop and Crop website
and check out the kits and other goodies in store here, so many fabulous kits on offer each month.

Until next time, Tania xx

'Sweet' by Elisa Ablett

Hi Shop and Croppers!

Elisa here from the design team with my take on this months 'tic tac toe' challenge. I decided to go diagonally across the board - stamping, embossing powder and cardstock.

Don't forget when ordering from Shop and Crop Scrapbooking you can use the code EA5 for a discount at the checkout.

Here is my layout - feminine with a gorgeous colour combination of pinks, golds and yellow.

I have a little step by step tutorial on how I created the flower embellishments on my page.

Step 1 - Using a good quality watercolour paper, stamp and embossing powder (Lindy's Embossing Powder in white).

Step 2 - Cover your stamp with embossing liquid or use an embossing stamp pad and heat emboss your stamped image.

Step 3 - repeat until you have stamped, embossed and heat set at least 5 to 6 flowers.

Step 4 - Open your tin of Prima Watercolour Pans - shimmering lights and using a spray bottle and paintbrush add colour to your stamped images. Spray your stamped image first with water. Add water to your chosen colour on your palette and using a wet paint brush move it around your stamped image. The embossing creates a resist effect for the watercolour.

Step 5 - Keep adding colour to your flowers, then once dry, splatter your flowers with gold splatter and fussy cut them out. Splatter your layout with the same gold splatter - I used a combination of Bling Colour Blast Shimmer Spray and watered down shimmering colour.

Here are some close ups of the finer details :-)

Here are some of the products used to create this layout. All available from the shop today ...

Autumn Babes

Hello Again to all you Shop and Croppers!

I'm back again today for my first May share, and this time I am working with the Photo Play Falling Leaves collection. There are some really strong patterns in this range, and of course it is very themed for Autumn. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot Autumn pics, so my challenge was to make it work for other occasions.

I choose this pic of my eldest daughter, as the green shirt she was wearing worked with the green stripe in one of the patterned papers. I matted the photo on some kraft cardstock, and built up my layers from there, starting with the stripes and moving toward much more neutral papers, with the beige polka dot (from Kaisercraft Take Note) and the brown leaf. I found that by choosing these neutral papers, they didn't overwhelm the page even though they are patterned.

I like to work with this central photo and paper stack design, as it give a lot of balance and symmetry to the page, and allows the embellishment clusters to be the real feature. I used quite a lot of the sticker from the collection in my clusters, as well as some wood veneer and some paper blooms .

I went in the opposite direction with my second layout, working with a white background and minimal patterned paper.

I love that this layout is playful, and fits with this photo that I took of my girls in a newly baled paddock. Again I added in some wood veneer, and relied heavily on the sticker sheet.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my layouts.

Happy Scrapping,
Tam x
