Autumn Babes

Hello Again to all you Shop and Croppers!

I'm back again today for my first May share, and this time I am working with the Photo Play Falling Leaves collection. There are some really strong patterns in this range, and of course it is very themed for Autumn. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot Autumn pics, so my challenge was to make it work for other occasions.

I choose this pic of my eldest daughter, as the green shirt she was wearing worked with the green stripe in one of the patterned papers. I matted the photo on some kraft cardstock, and built up my layers from there, starting with the stripes and moving toward much more neutral papers, with the beige polka dot (from Kaisercraft Take Note) and the brown leaf. I found that by choosing these neutral papers, they didn't overwhelm the page even though they are patterned.

I like to work with this central photo and paper stack design, as it give a lot of balance and symmetry to the page, and allows the embellishment clusters to be the real feature. I used quite a lot of the sticker from the collection in my clusters, as well as some wood veneer and some paper blooms .

I went in the opposite direction with my second layout, working with a white background and minimal patterned paper.

I love that this layout is playful, and fits with this photo that I took of my girls in a newly baled paddock. Again I added in some wood veneer, and relied heavily on the sticker sheet.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my layouts.

Happy Scrapping,
Tam x

Be Thankful by Sandra Scott

Hello fellow crafters Sandra here, I'd love to show you a Project Life style layout I created using the cut apart papers from the Photoplay Falling Leaves collection.  I created this page to sit alongside my previous layout (14 April Post).

Though this is not in a true pocket page it illustrates that you can still work in this style and place the page in a normal 12 X 12 page protector.

Some close-ups

The products I used are:
Photoplay Falling Leaves PP; #FL2324, #FL2328, #FL2329, #FL2331
American Crafts Cardstock
Pink Paislee; C’est La Vie Cork Hearts

*******
My second layout was from a different collection and this time I knew I wanted a
Clean and Simple page with a little mixed media.

I started with a cream cardstock background and a sheet of patterned paper from the

Carta Bella It’s a Girl Patterned Paper; #CBIG51002, #CBIG51005

Carta Bella It’s a Girl Sticker Sheet; #CBIG51014
available from the Shop and Crop Store

I also used
Kaisercraft Wood Veneer; Baby
Colour Blast Paste; Bling, Snow White

Lindy’s Stamp Gang Embossing Powder; Pink

Dutch Doobadoo Stencil; Rose #470715022

Silhouette Cameo

I especially loved the stickers from this collection and I raised the teddy bear with foam tape to give a little dimension to the cluster of embellishments.

I used the Silhouette Cameo with a typewriter style font to cut the large title.

That's it from me today, happy crafting and don't forget if you'd like a discount

Autumn's in the Air by Sandra Scott

Good morning crafters, Sandra here from Shop and Crop Scrapbooking with my very first post and layout as a Design Team Member.

I was challenged by the colours in the Photoplay Falling Leaves Collection because I don't use the colours very often but when I found this photo of my grandson it all fell into place.

I started with a plain cardstock background then started my layers and one of the papers was perfect for a fussy cut banner (top of the page).

I die cut some clouds and tiny leaves using the same paper along with a couple of strips for the bottom of the page and along the side.

The stickers from this collection were very fitting for my photo, though there wasn't a lot of fun being had here.

I also die cut some tags from scraps, added some twine and a few chevron wood veneers from my stash.

And now for some close-ups.

The products I used from the Shop and Crop Store are as follows:

Photoplay Falling Leaves Patterned Paper; #FL2324, #FL2328, #FL2329, #FL2331
  and from my stash
Tim Holtz Dies; Tags and Leaves #661597
American Crafts Cardstock
Twine and Wood Veneer

I thought you might also like to see the layout I did for the challenge this month at

I had such fun with this one, I loved the colours and knew immediately which photo I was going to use.

I started with dry paint on my background, then used a stencil with paste, glitter washi tapes and some ephemera from my stash.  I also used a hand help punch for my tiny stars.

Here are the close-ups

I hope I've inspired you a little today and look forward to seeing your own creations for the challenge this month.
